A suite of three instrumental sections from Thomas Adés’ opera Powder Her Face will be amongst the works performed this coming weekend on the Oregon Symphony’s next classical series of concerts. Thanks, Charles, for the excerpt. I’m really looking forward to the concert to hear the other portions. I picked up a CD of Ades’ opera, The Tempest, which has been well reviewed. I haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet. Ades appears to be a most interesting composer.
