In the latest issue of BBC Music Magazine, in the North America ‘live choice’ recommendations for must-see concerts, the Oregon Symphony is singled out for our subscription season opener (Sept. 21 and 23) featuring Takemitsu’s From me flows what you call Time and Rimsky-Korsakoff’s Scheherazade. It does open with the phrase “The Oregon Symphony has experienced some financial difficulties of late …” unfortunately, but we’ll take the praise anyhow. [click on image to enlarge]
