About
Charles Noble is the Assistant principal violist of the Oregon Symphony, a position he has held since 1995. He holds degrees from the University of Puget Sound (WA), University of Maryland and the Peabody Conservatory of Music. His primary teachers were Joyce Ramée, Joseph de Pasquale, Michael Tree, and Roberto Dìaz.
He was founding violist of the acclaimed Ethos Quartet, and is now a member of the Arnica String Quartet.
Charles enjoys cooking, hiking, cycling, reading, and blogging.
He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife, cellist Heather Blackburn, and their two cats, Daisy and Gizmo.
