robert levin commencement speech transcript

by Charles Noble on July 8, 2009 · 4 comments

If you enjoyed the video of Robert Levin’s electrifying commencement address to the 2009 graduating class at the Curtis Institute of Music, you can now peruse a transcript of the speech.  It’s a must-read for anyone considering going into the music field, or about to enter the music field.  Most amazingly – this speech was extemporaneous!  Levin’s not just an amazing classical improviser, it seems!

Many thanks to Jennifer Rycerz, Public Relations Manager at Curtis, for making this available.

Thanks for this! I’m happy to have a PDF to keep forever. I’m totally amazed that his speech was extemporaneous!
