I was forwarded an online review of Hannu Lintu‘s conducting debut with the New Jersey Symphony this past weekend. I’m glad to hear that he’s on the radar for US conducting posts as well – he’s a real catch, and whoever lands him will be lucky indeed.
Here’s a snippet of the review:
As the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra looks toward its final season under Neeme Järvi, the search is on for a new music director. A possible future presented itself this weekend in the form of Hannu Lintu, who conducted one of the most breathtaking performances this listener has ever heard the orchestra give.
