{"id":944,"date":"2008-04-27T10:13:44","date_gmt":"2008-04-27T17:13:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/?p=944"},"modified":"2008-04-27T10:13:44","modified_gmt":"2008-04-27T17:13:44","slug":"tired-and-sore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/2008\/04\/27\/tired-and-sore\/","title":{"rendered":"tired and sore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s how I feel this morning.\u00c2\u00a0 If you&#8217;ve played Mahler&#8217;s Ninth twice the previous day, plus ridden the 9 miles to work and 9 miles back home before and after the rehearsal &#8211; it leads to a healthy sense of fatigue!<\/p>\n<p>The performance last night was memorable &#8211; this orchestra has truly come of age.\u00c2\u00a0 We&#8217;re finally realizing our untapped potential, and playing concerts of some of the most demanding music at a seriously high level.\u00c2\u00a0 It feels good.<\/p>\n<p>Now, let&#8217;s do it two more times, o.k.?<\/p>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t yet had a chance to read my thumbnail sketches of the four movements that comprise the Ninth Symphony of Gustav Mahler, here&#8217;s a helpful set of links so you can do so.\u00c2\u00a0 I also hope that you make the trip down to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall tonight or tomorrow night &#8211; it&#8217;s a concert that you&#8217;ll be glad you attended.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/2008\/04\/22\/mahler-9-i-andante-comodo\/\">I.
