Portland new music ensemble fEARnoMUSIC<\/a> will be giving their second concert of the season tonight at 8:00 p.m. at the Old Church (1422 SW 11th Avenue, Portland, OR, 97202) – map<\/a>. Guest composer Steven Ricks will give a pre-concert talk at 7:00 p.m., and a reception will follow the concert.<\/p>\n

Here’s the program rundown:<\/p>\n

Karlheinz Stockhausen<\/strong>: Pisces, Leo, Virgo, Libra from Tierkrei <\/em> (1974-1975) for music boxes.<\/p>\n

Mathew Burtner<\/strong>: Fragments from Cold <\/em> (2006), for cello, snow, and electroacoustics.<\/p>\n

John Corigliano<\/strong>: Sonata <\/em>(1962-1963), for violin and piano.<\/p>\n

William Bolcom<\/strong>: <\/em>Suite<\/em> (1997), for violin and cello.<\/p>\n

Steve Ricks <\/strong>: Anthology<\/em> (2008), for string quartet, piano, and percussion. World premier<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Tickets are available at the door: $15 general admission, $10 seniors, $5 students w\/ID.
