{"id":714,"date":"2008-01-28T18:29:04","date_gmt":"2008-01-29T02:29:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/2008\/01\/28\/brahms-rules\/"},"modified":"2013-02-07T18:37:22","modified_gmt":"2013-02-08T02:37:22","slug":"brahms-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/2008\/01\/28\/brahms-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"brahms rules!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was thinking about Brahms this morning as I was getting ready to go to a rehearsal of his Piano Quintet (with pianist Cary Lewis and the Arnica String Quartet &#8211; we&#8217;ll be performing it on Wednesday, February 6 at Noon in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/01\/home.html\">Old Church<\/a>, Portland).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As a violist, I have a long standing love affair with Brahms, prickly though he may be to some, since he treats our instrument so lovingly and with such respect.
