We’re into our first rehearsals with Music Director Carlos Kalmar for the upcoming Waterfront Concert at Waterfront Park at the west side of the Hawthorne Bridge on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.\u00c2\u00a0 Let me tell you, the orchestra is a different animal than even the last couple of years since Carlos arrived.\u00c2\u00a0 We have three spectacular new principal players joining us beginning this season, and they will not disappoint!\u00c2\u00a0 They are Principal flute David Buck, Principal oboe Martin Hebert, and Principal trumpet Jeffrey Work.\u00c2\u00a0 The sound of the orchestra is much different than last year, and we’re only in the first full week of the season – this bodes well for a great season of concerts.\u00c2\u00a0 I hope to see you there!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
