\"\"<\/a>I just received my copy of the Martingale Ensemble’s live recording from last January of the chamber versions of Mahler’s Fourth Symphony and Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun<\/em> under the direction of the PSU Orchestra director Ken Selden.<\/p>\n

It was a great pleasure to rehearse, perform, and record these two master works in their alternate versions (as prepared for the Society for Private Musical Performances in Vienna) with some great Portland musicians: Alicia DiDonato Paulsen<\/a>, Martin Hebert<\/a>, David Hattner<\/a>, Douglas Schneider<\/a>, Renato Fabbro<\/a>, Florian Conzetti<\/a>, Brian Gardiner<\/a>, Greg Ewer<\/a>, Adam Lamotte<\/a>, Hamilton Cheifetz<\/a>, and Jeffrey Johnson<\/a>. The soprano soloist in the last movement of the Mahler was the wonderful Deanna Breiwick<\/a>.<\/p>\n
