The Arnica String Quartet will present a concert exploring the differences and similarities of two composers at the beginning of their careers – both past and present – in a concert entitled \u201cParallels: Music of Daniel Ott & Benjamin Britten\u201d.<\/p>\n

The concert will take place at the Community Music Center (CMC) Recital Hall (3350 SE Francis Street, Portland, OR) at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2011. General admission tickets are $20\/adult, and $10\/students with valid ID, and seniors. $40 for concert admission plus exclusive after concert reception at Hopworks Urban Brewpub. Tickets are available through the Oregon Symphony box office (923 SW Washington Street). Phone orders: 503-228-1353 or 1-800-228-7343. Box office hours are 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Tickets also available at the door one hour before performance time, cash or check only (reception tickets not available at the door).<\/p>\n

The concert will feature works of each composer presented in parallel: viola & piano, oboe & string trio, and string quartet.
