{"id":4707,"date":"2010-05-28T12:42:40","date_gmt":"2010-05-28T19:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/?p=4707"},"modified":"2010-05-28T12:42:40","modified_gmt":"2010-05-28T19:42:40","slug":"fourteen-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/2010\/05\/28\/fourteen-down\/","title":{"rendered":"fourteen down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another season of the Oregon Symphony has wrapped.\u00a0 This year ended my fourteenth season with the Oregon Symphony &#8211; I can hardly believe it&#8217;s been that long already.\u00a0 I still largely feel like I just got here.\u00a0 Yet so much has changed since then.\u00a0 When I arrived, I was 26 years old, fresh from Peabody Conservatory and my second summer at the Tanglewood Music Center.\u00a0 I&#8217;d just played with the Boston Symphony and Seiji Ozawa, among others, and then it was <em>wham<\/em> into the buzz-saw tempo of a professional orchestra, with rehearsals one after the other and so much music to learn and digest with little time in between.
