Many of you who read this blog are familiar with Greg Ewer, violinist with the Oregon Symphony, and founder and artistic director of 45th Parallel.\u00a0 He recently got engaged to the wonderful and talented Becky Hornsten, who is one of the brightest lights I know.\u00a0 Turns out, she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and has a challenging path ahead of her.\u00a0 So, when another friend of hers suggested she enter the Crate and Barrel Ultimate Wedding Contest<\/a>, it quickly caught fire in the Portland musical community.\u00a0 So here’s what I want to you do.\u00a0 For Greg and Becky.\u00a0 Go to the contest site right now – this link will bring you right to their page<\/a> – and vote for them in the contest.\u00a0 They have well over 1000 votes so far.\u00a0 Then email the link to a bunch of your friends.\u00a0 Pay it forward – there aren’t many more deserving people for winning this contest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
