You may have noticed a floating box that says “Buy me a coffee!” on one side of the screen. It’s a way for me to be compensated for the work that I’m putting into reinvigorating the blog. I’m planning on writing a weekly column on a wide range of topics, occasional guest postings, and mini-articles that point out stuff in the arts non-profit sphere that I think you’d like to know about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m keeping the blog free to read – no paywalls here! But this is an opportunity for you to be able to support my work here. Any amount is welcome, and not giving is also ok, too. Wherever you’re at on the subject is fine with me!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blog has lain fallow for quite some time, and during this season where I’ve taken a sabbatical from my non-symphony passion projects (45th Parallel Universe, Chatter PDX, etc.) I want to rekindle my nascent love for what I do by delving into what it means to be a professional musician in the 21st century. Not that I know everything – I only know about what I have direct experience with – but I want to talk to colleagues and friends around the world who are doing exciting things and bring the realizations that result back to you. I appreciate the people who still come up to me and ask about that blog. People who have been there for the 20 years plus that it’s existed in various forms – 17 in its current guise. Let’s take this journey together, and if you find it’s worth your support, I thank you so much for whatever you’re able to contribute!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
