I’ve been trying to figure out where to focus my energies as my pandemic sabbatical drags on past the 8 month mark. I put out a message to some of my most trusted friends, asking what I might do. As it turns out, they had some great ideas – and the first one may well have been the best. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting in the next week or two, I’ll be putting out a post of upcoming classical (and maybe a few non-classical) live streams that you might want to know about. This will eventually involve interviews with participants in upcoming streams in an accompanying podcast – so there will be lots for me to do. It will be called Classical Currents<\/em>. It will have its own web site, and I’ll post a link here when it’s live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will need to be a financial component to this, but I’m not quite there yet – rest assured that I’ll let you know how, when, and where to contribute to the production of this content! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the classical landscape returns to something close to what we’d been used to in the Before Times, I’ll adapt the service to more of a concert guide and breaking news format, but still with a podcast attached. My hope is to have interviews and features on upcoming guest artists, composers, and conductors that appear with the Oregon Symphony in each season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
