My birthday is coming up later this week, and I’m doing a fundraiser on Facebook<\/a> for 45th Parallel Universe, an organization on whose board I sit, and with whom I play many performances each year. In this unprecedented period of our history, organizations such as 45th Parallel provide – via online, and a few distanced, outdoor performances – some of the few opportunity for musicians to obtain paying work in their chosen profession.
