The RACC project grant will focus on the Portland performance at the Imago Theater on February 13, 2009. Four new works written especially to honor the anniversary will be premiered. The Oregon composers featured are Tomas Svoboda, David Schiff, Robert Kyr, Bonnie Miksch, John Peel, Jack T. Gabel, Robert McBride, Robert Priest and Ryan Francis. In addition to being well-known Oregon composers, they also have established national and international reputations.\u00c2\u00a0 Each concert will include a collaborative pre-concert lecture and Q&amp;A session with the composers, as well as a post-concert reception for audience members to individually meet them. This program provides an extra layer of interest and excitement because three of the works will be supported by dance and one will involve computer-generated electronics representing the environment.<\/p>\n<p>[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/fnm-FEB-09.html\">buy tickets for this concert<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Third Angle New Music Ensemble\u00c2\u00a0 Multnomah<br \/>\nAn Evening with Jennifer Higdon\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Artistic Focus (AF)\u00c2\u00a0 Music\u00c2\u00a0 $4800<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Third Angle New Music Ensemble seeks funding for &#8220;An Evening with Jennifer Higdon&#8221;, a chamber music performance featuring the work of two-time Grammy winner, Jennifer Higdon. Ms. Higdon will act as curator and hostess for the performance, which will also feature works by composers who have had a major influence on her work.
