It’s been an uneventful week, with the exception of the dental surgery, and I’m looking forward to completing this downtime to get ready for my next gig. That happens to be the Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival<\/a> in the north-central reaches of Washington State. I played there once with my old quartet years ago, and again last year on my own after several years had passed. It was a wonderful experience, and one that I’m looking forward to very much. It’s a Mozart g minor year for me, on the two concerts that I’ll be playing: the Piano Quartet in g minor, K. 478 (with the wonderful pianist Craig Sheppard<\/a>), and the String Quintet in g minor, K. 516 (one of the great pieces ever written for chamber ensemble). I can’t wait to play with some amazing musicians, visit with some new friends, and get in some quality cycling in the great scenery of the Methow Valley!<\/p>\n
