Though it says that the line item is cut for one year, it is hardly likely that it will be refunded after the year&#8217;s budget cycle. The Ballet and Opera seem to be unaffected, so presumably this huge concert event was deemed &#8216;safer&#8217; to cut than some of their offerings. That and the relatively precarious financial position of the Oregon Symphony must make the mayor confident that we can&#8217;t offer much of a fight in response.
