I&#8217;m talking about Oregon Arts Watch, an online arts &#8216;paper&#8217; that has some of the best arts writers in the city covering as many events as they can get to on a daily basis. With the declining coverage at the \u00a0lone daily paper in the city a given (and with no end in sight), and even the once proud weeklies succumbing to cutting what little fine arts coverage they once had in their pursuit for the bottom line (a race to the bottom?), Oregon Arts Watch is an institution that must succeed.<\/p>\n<p>To this end, I&#8217;ve just joined as a member of the OAW website, and I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.orartswatch.org\/6541-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">encourage you to do the same<\/a>, and to tell your friends in the arts about this incredible resource.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.orartswatch.org\/6541-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Join Oregon Arts Watch now!<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m writing this post to ask you to support a valuable arts resource for Portland and Oregon.
