{"id":1023,"date":"2008-07-10T11:13:37","date_gmt":"2008-07-10T18:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/?p=1023"},"modified":"2008-07-10T11:19:20","modified_gmt":"2008-07-10T18:19:20","slug":"terwilliger-surprise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/2008\/07\/10\/terwilliger-surprise\/","title":{"rendered":"terwilliger surprise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday morning I did what I hope will be my autumnal commuting trip into downtown.\u00c2\u00a0 I went down Barbur Blvd and was going to return via the same route, but then Terwilliger beckoned.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"attachment wp-att-1024\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nobleviola.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/ridemap.png?resize=359%2C303\" alt=\"ridemap\" width=\"359\" height=\"303\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, I&#8217;d ridden Terwilliger in the &#8216;easy&#8217; direction &#8211; to downtown &#8211; which is more downhill than up, but not the reverse.\u00c2\u00a0 I made a deal with myself: if I feel like I can&#8217;t make it all the way, I&#8217;ll just coast back down and return on Barbur.\u00c2\u00a0 Surprisingly, a bail-out was not necessary!<\/p>\n<p>Now that Terwilliger is tamed, I can use it as part of my regular repertoire of ride routes, which is very satisfying.\u00c2\u00a0 Next: Terwilliger from downtown all the way in to Lake Oswego.<\/p>\n<p>Stay tuned!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday morning I did what I hope will be my autumnal commuting trip into downtown.\u00c2\u00a0 I went down Barbur Blvd and was going to return via the same route, but then Terwilliger beckoned.
