Leading music scholar and sometime iconoclast Richard Taruskin will speak tonight at 6:30 at the Benson Hotel.
He’s written, edited, or co-written some of the seminal books on Western music, including The Oxford History of Western Music, Music in the Western World: A History in Documents, Text and Act: Essays on Music and Performance, and Stravinsky and the Russian Traditions.
