In a few days Heather and I are off to the Sunriver Music Festival for two weeks of music making in the idyllic landscapes of central Oregon. Sunriver resort is a prime destination for both well-to-do families and retirees due to the wide variety of recreational activities (both winter and summer) and the warm, dry summer climate, and relative lack of rain in the winter months (though most residents have homes in the southern climes that they retreat to in the winter months).

It’s a packed schedule this year, with five classical concerts plus the opening pops concert spread over the two weeks. Artistic Director George Hansen conducts. Here’s a rundown of what we’re doing: (click here for info and tickets)
