Atop Council Crest is a circular masonry wall about 2.5 feet tall. If you stand in the center of it and speak, you will hear your voice amplified, especially if you are facing almost North (about 15 degrees East from North). Hope you got a chance to check it out. It is phenomenal.

Yes - as I turned to go up Humphrey I noticed that it was just a quick trip over (and up) to Skyline. I'll have to check that out. I'm also interested in doing Bald Peak before the riding season is over, and perhaps Larch Mountain as well. We'll see if I can balance the riding with my practicing and performing as the season heats up! Thanks for checking in and commenting!

Council Crest is tough. I discovered the Fairmont Loop this summer -- what a nice, smooth ride. All those people walking their dogs, like a secret community way up there. From Humphrey, Skyline is only a hop away, across Hwy. 26, and that leads to lots of new territory.
