Although labeling the conductor as 'boss' may be incorrect in many orchestra situations! We too enjoy the benefits of Plexiglass here in Boise. And I have about three sets of earplugs in my case for different situations. Like 'industrial strength' for things like Copland 3 or Trans-Siberian Orchestra, 'medium' for Prokofieff "Romeo and Juliet" or Mannheim Steamroller, and 'light' for Kurt Bestor or overly talkative conductors.
